Batman v Superman has been a film I've been looking forward to for around 3 years now. Despite only coming out yesterday, I've managed to see it twice and while there were certainly some problems with it, I had a blast. The stuff they got right was unreal. The world, the characters, it was all such a fun ride. Even though it really sets up Justice League and future movies, it felt like a film in and of itself. Not just a piece of a universe that's incomplete on its own.They weren't afraid to be brutal with their fight scenes, realistic with their representation of Superman and beautiful with the cinematography. It wasn't like most other blockbusters today, full of fine, inoffensive uncreative shots. It was meticulously crafted and something really special to look at.
Batman v Superman isn't a perfect film, but it delivers a very fun cinematic event.
